SEMINA RIZOU
Semina Rizou was born in Athens, Greece. She started dancing at the age of 5, learning classical, modern, and flamenco styles. She continued her studies in dance at the pre-professional and academic level at the National School of Dance (KSOT) in Athens. During her studies, she danced for choreographers such as Marco Goecke, Reihner Behr, and Daphnis Kokkinos. In 2022, she joined the Ballet Junior de Geneva, where she performed pieces by Thomas Hauert, Hofesh Shechter, Cathy Marston, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and more. Semina choreographed the piece "We just wanted the twins" with Giorgos Mitas in Athens in 2022, and later "Fake it 'til you make it" in Geneva in 2023. She is now exploring the world of improvisation as part of a research for her upcoming solo project.
